Mosquitoes: Relieved excitement takes hold as the upcoming summer season releases anxiety and melts easily into daily lethargy. Typical summer festivities soon turn into the peaceful, relaxing afternoons of lounging beneath trees, generously sharing their shadowy shelter. As time passes, immobile drowsiness results in time spent dreaming in a wasteful slumber.
Acid Wash: Walking into the club, distant memories of 90's era video games pulse against the surface of the skull as uncoordinated hands grasp onto heavy moving walls. With tablets on tongues, spastic and disoriented movements clash on the dance floor. Before collapsing on the ground, the DJ slows it down enough to take a breather before continuing to jerk limbs around like an epileptic seizure. Lyrics are rare and often unnecessary, as alcohol and drugs cause short-term memory loss.
Adolescent Transition: A re-occurring theme of teenage desperation and soul-searching which often leads to substance abuse. Suffocation of parental interrogation and an overwhelming amount of hormones cause isolation, as late-night lifestyle fills the empty void irreplaceable by affection and support. The options of Rehabilitation or Death are presented, both which inevitably lead to a peaceful and monotonous existence, completing the familiar downward spiral of teen angst.
